The National Library of Medicine is offering a ClinicalTrials.gov Results Database Train-the-Trainer Workshop to provide training to key personnel involved in submitting study results to ClinicalTrials.gov for their organizations.
The in-person workshop will be led by ClinicalTrials.gov staff and consists of live interactive presentations and hands-on results data-entry exercises using the Modernized Protocol Registration and Results System (PRS).
The application period for the next workshop dates will close on April 30.
Workshop topics include:
- Basic organizational principles of the clinical study results submission
- Best data entry practices for common study designs
- Results Review Criteria and common errors found during quality-control review
The workshop will also summarize key laws and policies, including the registration and results submission requirements in Section 801 of the Food and Drug Administration Amendments Act of 2007 (FDAAA 801) and its implementing regulations in the Final Rule for Clinical Trials Registration and Results Information Submission (42 CFR Part 11).
Registration is open for the next workshops. Two session dates are available: September 9-10, 2026, or September 16-17, 2026. The workshops will be held in person on the NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland. To learn more or apply to participate, visit the application page.
