Dissemination

We disseminate the latest knowledge and best practices in pragmatic trials through a variety of mechanisms. In addition to journal publications, we produce a weekly Grand Rounds webinar, a free online textbook, a podcast, robust training offerings, and more.

For Funders and Partners

Pragmatic trials are an opportunity to advance research priorities such as:

  • Including more representative populations
  • Expanding research to rural areas
  • Creating community partnerships

The NIH Pragmatic Trials Collaboratory has worked with 16 NIH Institutes and Centers and the HEAL Initiative to provide consultative services for diverse trials across clinical areas, and new trials are added as needs arise. Researchers establish their own partnerships with healthcare systems, so the possibilities for sites are unlimited. Many investigators from NIH Collaboratory Trials have returned to conduct more trials within the program, a testament to its value for researchers.

The program also partners with >40 national and international organizations to exchange knowledge, offer expertise, and advance methods for clinical research embedded in healthcare delivery settings. We encourage use and sharing of our program materials, training resources, Living Textbook content, study tools, and products. Groups interested in partnering with the NIH Collaboratory may contact nih-collaboratory@duke.edu.
