April 14, 2021: NIH Collaboratory Announces Grand Rounds Workshop Series on Including Diverse Participants In Pragmatic Clinical Trials

The NIH Health Care Systems Research Collaboratory will launch a special workshop series next month to explore and promote strategies for the inclusion of diverse participants in pragmatic clinical trials.

The webinar series, Inclusion of Diverse Participants in Pragmatic Clinical Trials, will kick off on Friday, May 14, at 1:00 pm ET with a keynote presentation by Dr. Clyde Yancy, Vice Dean of Diversity and Inclusion and Chief of Cardiology in the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

The series will include 4 moderated webinar discussions with panels of experts that will focus on increasing engagement of diverse participants and building trust, recruiting diverse research sites, learning from implementation science to maximize diversity, and developing a pipeline of trainees from underrepresented groups to be leaders in pragmatic clinical research. A podcast discussion with a panel of experts will wrap up the series in August.
